Oxen Basics for the Teamster & Team

August 1 & 2, 2009    Sanborn Mills Farm, Loudon, NH

A two-day intensive workshop.  Choosing a team and halter training, how to yoke, health and nutrition, hooking to equipment, driving teams for work and show. 

Instructors:

Tim Huppe, Farm Manager of Sanborn Mills Farm and owner of BerryBrook Farm and Ox Supply in Farmington, New Hampshire.

Dr. Drew Conroy, Professor of Applied Animal Science at the University of New Hampshire and owner of Oxwood Farm in Berwick, Maine.  Author of The Oxen Handbook.
